South African National Anthem - Varsity Shield

Hey guys, I'm singing the National Anthem at the Varsity Shield home game this Monday the 28th March 18:30pm at Peter Booysen Stadium, Pietermaritzburg. The game kicks off at 7pm - UKZN IMPI vs CUT. Please come support me...and BACK YOUR BOYTJIES! :)

Haylea Hounsom at the Snooty Fox

I will be singing at Fern Hill tomorrow night between 7pm and 9pm (it's in Hilton for those who don't know).  The  restaurant cafe is called the Snooty Fox...quaint little place, great for dinner and a drink on a Friday night...see you there! :)

St Paddy's Day with Luyt Lager

I'll be at Primi Piatti in Ballito for the Luyt Lager St Paddy's Day celebration on the 17th of March.  Entrance is free and there will be lots of awesome prizes given away...all you have to do is come down and enjoy a beer or two.

Idols Auditions

It's 6.15am and I'm 500-and-something in the queue outside Moses Mobida Stadium, waiting for the Idols Season 7 auditions to kick off! I'm far too tired to be nervous, and really excited for my friend Niki to arrive a little later in the morning with coffee and cupcakes :)

I've prepared Ain't no Sunshine to sing for the judges...I'm going to be playing it on guitar.  But I've also prepared a backup song, knowing that (from previous seasons) Randal seems to hate anything written before the year 2010...and that song is Bruno Mars - I wanna be a billionaire! (appropriate, don't you think ;)

So...watch this space...Haylea Hounsom - next South African Idol in the making!!
