The Pietermaritzburg City Orchestra is proud to present "The Magic of Christmas" – their annual festive season concert – which will be taking place at 7pm on Saturday 14 December 2013 at the Hilton College Theatre.
In addition to the usual favourites like Leroy Anderson’s spectacular "Christmas Festival" and "Sleigh Ride", under the baton of resident conductor David Plank, the orchestra will also be joined by local vocalist Haylea Hounsom, who will be singing some heart-warming classics like "Chestnuts Roa...sting on an Open Fire", "White Christmas", and "O Holy Night".
Other highlights include "We Need a Little Christmas" from the musical "Mame" (and more recently made famous on the Fox Television show "Glee") as well as a charming new arrangement of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
The evening promises to be a delight to both young and old. Tickets cost R100 and can be booked by emailing tickets@hiltoncollege.com or phoning 033 383 0126.
